A synthesis of Discovery deliverables, prepared by the Onboarder to concisely communicate requirements to the Onboarding Designer.
As the project manager, the Onboarder will review and refine the information the customer has provided in the following deliverables to create a Design Brief (see below for template) to hand off to the project designer.
- Design Questionnaire, including the share link to a folder of Brand Assets
- Onboarding Menu - any features and functionalities that appear on a key page, especially ones that need to show design, i.e. how to display options on PLP Quick Add, product ribbons, etc.
- Catalog Architecture - if site structure is changing in the immediate future, provide desired functionality to ensure it's designed, i.e. adding product swatches to a site that currently doesn't have them but plans to add.
- App Stack Review - how the UX of key pages will need to display apps, i.e. include a Tolstoy widget on the HP, a Findation Shade Finder will need to be linked on a PDP, etc.

Additionally, and very importantly, the Onboarder will include project size to define the complexity of the designer's project in terms of Nyla templates. Project size is outlined in the project agreement.
The resulting brief should include a clear key page-by-key page list of what features and details are required, along with information about the recommended amount of sections to be used across primary pages. The Designer will use this Design Brief to lead the Design Kick Off call, reviewing the shared requirements and ask any further questions to understand the scope of the project and prepare for the Design process immediately following the call.
