States
Configure state-specific settings
States allow you to set state-specific values for Sections, Content Items and Design Tokens. Examples might be changing the colour of a Button on hover, or changing the appearance of your Navigation on scroll.
To set states, you can toggle the state icon in the top right of your content item and select the state you want, and then update the settings for your content item. The settings that you set for that state will then only apply to the state you changed.
Setting a hover state on a heading:
Whilst very uncommon, "Orphan" states can appear when a child content item has been removed from a parent that had a state applied.
If you see an Orphan state, the state settings might still apply to your content item, however in order to update your state we'd suggest to remove it and reconfigure your state settings on a state relevant to the current location of your content item.
