Schedule publishes for a future date
You can schedule publishes to go out at a specific date and time in the future from the publish screen. This article explains how this works and the considerations you should have in mind whilst using this feature.
Note: You can only have one publish lined up at a time. Once you've scheduled a publish, the publish process is locked until your scheduled publish goes out.
If you need to make changes before your scheduled publish is due to go out, you can cancel your scheduled publish, make the changes you need, and then re-schedule the publish to go out.
Scheduling Publishes
In order to schedule a publish, you can click on the "Schedule" button next to publish on the publish screen, choosing the time and date you want the publish screen to go out.
The time that you set will be the time that the publish process will begin. As with any process, it might take a few minutes for the process to full complete. Once the process starts, you will see a publish toast with the publish progress as with any normal publish.
Considerations:
- When scheduling a publish, the time and date is set based on your device's local time
- Schedule publishes must be at least one minute in the future
- Publishes cannot be scheduled more than six weeks (42 days) in the future
- You can only publish up to 1k items in a single publish
Locked Publishes
Once you have scheduled a publish, the publish screen & the items included in the publish will be locked until the publish has gone out, or until you cancel the scheduled publish.
If you need to make changes before your scheduled publish is due to go out, you can cancel your scheduled publish, make the changes you need, and then re-schedule the publish to go out.
Cancelling Publishes
When you cancel a scheduled publish, all items included included in the publish will be moved to the Queued status.
