Add Gift Notes to your site

On Nyla, it's possible to add gift notes to your cart using Shopify cart attributes. This enables you to send your customers' gift note preference, plus their gift note message with their order to fulfilment and beyond. 

Adding Gift Notes to your site: 

In order to add gift notes to your site, we suggest to start from a Nyla Block. 

You can choose from the following gift note blocks to add directly to your cart: 

• Gift Note: Minimal Block

If you prefer, it's possible to build Gift Notes entirely from scratch by using Cart Attributes with a Forms in your cart. 

Important: ensuring Gift Notes are picked up in fulfilment: 

In order to ensure that your gift notes are picked up by your fulfilment, you should make sure that the cart attributes you use for your Gift Note are in a format that can be added to your packing slips, or are readable for whatever format you are using to fulfil your orders. 

If required, you can limit the number of characters that can be added to ensure that the gift note message fits on order slips by updating the settings on the input of the form. 

By default, the custom cart attribute will be set to giftNote. You will see the Cart Attribute and the value added to the "Additional details" field in the Notes section of your order in Shopify.
